There is one thing you have to give 10.2 credit for...and it is one of the main reasons, I think HE is the Doctor...10.2 asks Rose if it is all okay with her.
He says...I could grow old with you...if that's what you want.
This...added to his thoughtful assessment of what is going on in the TARDIS...and his saying to Donna "I AM the Doctor" and finally...that really...as Doctor Who fans...we are not supposed to accept what 10 tells us right at the beginning AT all...10 says, "I didn't want to change...why should I? Look at me!"
Uhm...yeah...because you shouldn't be admiring yourself at all...no Doctor ever has. The body of a Time Lord is a transient and changing thing...he could be old, young, no head, two heads...female...or human...but the important thing is what's on the inside.
I think 10 and Rose should be in the normal life...because they do want it...and because they really are both quite dangerous...yes! They've gone beyond ordinary to "the stuff of legends."
