More Politics...because this isn't right! Not in a democracy!

There is a media push to drive John Edwards out of the running. An insinuation that he's taking votes away from people who can win and a with that an obvious suggesting that he can't win.

Well...it turns out he can. Polls show he can beat every Republican candidate running...even the ones Hillary can't beat...like McCain. Edit: To say...ThisFickleMob explains this polling stuff far better than I do...check out her comments below...and then, check out her journal.

So, why when there are only a few points seperating him from Obama...is the call going out for Edwards to pack it in? Maybe it's because the news organizations who decide who we will vote for...don't like the Edwards message.

It's a funny video. Until you really think about who is lining up to do a dog and pony show for Bill. Who decided who we vote for in November?

I see you are steadfast...go you! But just to make sure you have all the facts...see the poll linked just above your comment here. Thisficklemob's link to an article about CNN's head-to-head polling. The relevant summing up is about halfway down the page.

It is very possible Clinton simply can't win it, but we are certainly being encouraged to back her...and by people who want her to lose...and, of course, you may have your reasons to support her even if you knew for sure she would lose..I can hardly argue with that position either...as I have backed candidates that could't possibly win...just on principle. I was a Bill Richardson girl. But still...this manipulation of the voters is really not right.

At least you are getting an election; executive power changed hands here recently and yet we had no election, it was just passed over.

As for Edwards ... I fear the folk who distrust change are the ones putting obstacles in his way ... it would be interesting IMHO to see how an Edwards/Obama (or, indeed, Obama/Edwards) ticket worked out.

As for Mrs. Clinton, I'm not sure what to think of her; I mistrust her and I can't put a finger on exactly why.

Still, since I'm a Brit I guess my opinion doesn't matter all that much ;)

In general, I hate this election. Kucinich isn't getting air time. Paul isn't getting air time, although his supporters do for their passion for him (and are laughed at as the lunatic fringe). Richardson, the democrat whose views I am personally most aligned with, and who is surpremely qualified for the job, was given no chance. Nobody called BS on Obama's "concession" speech in NH despite it being taken straight from the "I Have A Dream" speechwriting book and was definitely a play of the "race card." And then John Kerry putting his vocal support behind Obama instead of his former running mate. Yuck. Yuck. Yuck.

You know, I really hope Ron Paul gets the republican nomination...and wins. If only to shake things up, take things back to a Constitutional level, and get all of the frakkn' special interests people and big business out of Washington so that maybe, MAYBE in 2012 other people can actually be heard.
